President Laura Anagnostopoulos called the meeting to order at 7:10 pm.

• Reminder Teacher Appreciation Week next week. Kristie Wagner and Colleen Monson have wonderful ideas for ALL the teachers. We are encouraging the room moms to leave this week to the PTO so everyone is treated equally. Thankyou for your support!

Principal’s report: Dr. Deb Bruemmer report’s;

• Monday, Miss Illinois, Character Counts as the sponsor K-2 at 1:00 and 3^rd-5^th at 1:35
• Last week of map testing next week
• May 3^rd Regular day of attendance
• About the rumors flying around about the school lock downs in the area, all I can say is be honest with your children. Tell them facts only not fiction.
• We did indoor recess on Friday to ease the parent’s minds.
• Open House April 25^th 6:30-7:30 pm
• Book Fair until 8:30 on the 25^th

Elise Hood:

    Our own Brownie troop #326 from second grade is making a $100.00 donation to Joanie’s closet, Thankyou Girls!!!!!

Vice President’s report: Lynda Howell reports;

• We need to vote for new Treasurer’s position for next year. Leanne Walker running for the position. Voting was done tonight, results later in the meeting
• Grant request

1. #28 Kindergarten Team- pretend food sets, for role playing unit on nutrition ( $119.70)
2. #29 Kindergarten Team- Relpace food pyramid pocket chart- updated($49.00)
3. #30 3^rd grade team- curriculum review games($480.00)
   • Miss Giglio answered questions.
   • Motion to approve Budget, First by Beth Murrey and Second by Leanne Walker.

We would like to honor the outgoing 5^th grade parents at the last meeting. Please let us know if you have any ideas.

We are passing out a flier with  the positions that are still open for certain committees next year. Let us know if you know of anyone that is interested.

Secretary report: Patti Forster reports;

·        Minutes from March. Motion to approve. First by Beth Murray and second by Aimee Vasco.

·        Joanies closet/ $900.00 received from a birthday party, how fantastic is that!!

Announcements-Thankyou to the Hawthorn Women’s ClubAll

We had two request that were approved

·        All tools for school purchased for free or reduced kids

·        Language Stars after school program to learn another language at a reduced cost K- 5^th grade

Congratulations to Leanne Walker, She was voted into the Treasurers position for next year.

All Grant request were approved
