Last week, we celebrated the birthday of one of our favorite authors, Dr. Seuss!  Students participated in the “Hat Relay.”  This is when the Cat’s hat appears at a classroom doorway, and students drop everything and read.   Students were encouraged to design a special birthday card for Dr. Seuss.  The winning cards were chosen on Friday, March 7^th. 

All of the cards were beautifully decorated and they are currently on display at our front entrance.  It was very difficult to choose 4 winners from all of the entries.  Winning cards were designed by Jamison Horning, kindergarten, Maria Anagnostopoulos, 5^th grade, Haley Wold, second grade, and Daniella Lobanova, third grade.  Each winner received a movie pass to “Horton Hears a Who.” Congratulations to all participants for a job well done.  Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!!
