Education:
- I graduated from Beloit College in Wisconsin with a degree in Psychology. I then went back to school at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater to obtain my teaching certificate. I have two Master's Degrees, the first through St. Xavier University (2008) and the second through the American College of Education (2009). This is my ninth year in the district (eight years at Charles Quentin and one at May Whitney).
Family:
- Mr. Rothermel is a business teacher here in the district at Lake Zurich High School. We have two daughters; Emma (6) and Meg (4). I have one sister, Kristi, who is a nurse (her husband is a police officer) and one brother, Dan, who is also a teacher (his wife is an anesthesiologist). My parents, who live in Wisconsin, love playing with their four grandchildren!
Hobbies:
- I love spending time with my family (especially playing with Emma and Meg!) I also love reading, playing games, and being outside when it is nice. I enjoy exploring the internet for new and exciting activities to use in school.
Reading:
- My favorite children's books are the Chronicles of Narnia series, the Harry Potter series, and any picture books. I love finding new books that students are excited to listen to or read for themselves.
