WHO'S
TEACHING YOUR CHILD ART THIS SCHOOL YEAR?
teaching Art in District 95 for 22 years. I received my B.A. Degree from Lawrence University and M.A. Degree in Art Education from the University of Illinois. This year I will be traveling to Spencer Loomis Elementary School on Thursdays and Fridays. |
WHAT
WILL YOUR CHILD BE DOING IN ART CLASS?
| Art instruction will encompass the major aspects
of Art: drawing, painting, printing, weaving, three dimentional art and
two dimentional
design. When appropriate, students will complete at least 1 project in each of these areas. Children will be looking at art to
learn about other cultures, places, artists and works of art.
|
WHEN
WILL YOUR CHILD HAVE ART ?
| Students come to the Art Room 1 day each week.
Classes are 45 minutes in length.Your child will create appromimately 8-12
art projects
during the school year. An art project can require 2-6 class periods to complete. The 5th Grade projects are usually fewer but more involved. Please have your child dress appropriately. Art can be messy! I look forward to working with your child this year. My goal is to create a safe, enjoyable enviornment for learning and growth in the visual arts.
