Update Letter From Dr. Knutson
Re Teacher Wayne Kuklinski

Parents/Guardians, Staff Members & Community
Members:
On December 22, I
informed you of the criminal charges that had been
filed against Lake Zurich High School Teacher Wayne
Kuklinski. In that letter I also told you that
I would keep you updated regarding this matter.
Last night, January
11, during a special Board of Education meeting, the
Community Unit School District 95 Board of Education
unanimously approved an administrative
recommendation to place Mr. Kuklinski on unpaid, no
benefits leave retroactive to December 21. The
reasons cited in the Board resolution included the
legal charges pending against Mr. Kuklinski and the
conditions of his bond agreement with the court.
His unpaid leave status will continue for the
remainder of the school term or pending the outcome
of the legal charges, whichever is longer, or until
the Board of Education takes further action.
This has been a
difficult time for our entire community. On
behalf of the Board of Education and the staff of
our schools, I thank you for your support of our
staff and our students.
