(LAKE ZURICH, IL)—Citing its good
schools and other factors, BusinessWeek.com,
the website of BusinessWeek magazine,
has listed the Village of Lake Zurich as one of “The
25 Best Affordable Suburbs in the U.S.” Lake
Zurich beat out all other suburbs in the Chicagoland
area to achieve the honor.

the top 25 list was based upon home affordability,
the low violent crime rate, school test scores, and
the reasonableness of the commute to a major
metropolitan area. BusinessWeek worked
with the
website Sperling's Best Places to come up
with the list.
“I have
often said that we are the hidden jewel of Lake
County,” said Dr. Brian Knutson, a Lake
Zurich resident and Superintendent of Community Unit
School District 95. “Now, because of our great
schools, low crime rate and, most importantly, the
wonderful people who make up our community, the rest
of the country is beginning to learn what we have
known all along.”
