Six Pillars

(click on pillars for more information)

We are excited to be using the Character Counts program here at Sarah Adams.  This program builds upon and expands the character education program that has been developed here over the past several years.  Character Counts is based on the six pillars of character located to the right.  They are Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.  The purpose of Character Counts is to teach our students about right and wrong and help them develop into good people.

Throughout the year we will focus on one of the six character traits.  For more information about each of the six pillars simply click on a specific pillar.

Character Bones

Students are given Character Bones when they are "caught" displaying one of the six character traits.  Teachers and staff give students the bones on a daily basis and they are displayed in the front of the building near the entrance to the office.
