Welcome to Room 8's home page!  My name is Mrs. Sharon Rane and I'm so excited to be your child's first grade teacher.  I have taught first grade for the last 15 years at Sarah Adams and taught Kindergarten prior to that for four years.  I received both my Undergraduate Degree and Master's Degree from the University of Illinois.  I have continued to take classes in order to stay current with the latest and best teaching strategies and practices.  My two boys, my husband and I enjoy walking, biking, seeing movies, skiing, traveling and reading together on the weekends and during vacations.  I also enjoy running with my big and crazy yellow lab, Gibson.  First grade is such an important year for your child. I look forward to working together with you to help your child succeed and enjoy school.
