Seth Paine Students vote for President on Monday November 3, 2008

In order to prepare our school for elections on Monday November 3, 2008, Mrs. Hyla's fourth grade class selected election teams, who made classroom visits to explain voting procedures.  Our election judges showed the students a sample ballot and how to mark it, they explained that each person can only vote once, and they don't need to tell anyone how they voted.  The students were shown the ballot box where they put their ballot, and  learned that all ballots will remain in this box until they are counted by the  teams of judges.

On election day the students will sign their name,

get their ballot ,vote in a voting booth, and drop the ballot in the ballot box.

Once the whole school has voted, the votes will be  counted by the election judges - more than once - so that we are assured the count is accurate.

The results will be be announced before the end of the day.

Many thanks to Mrs. Hyla and her fourth grade class for running the Seth Paine Presidential Election.
