Seth Paine Lorado Taft
February 23 - 25 2009
The fifth graders at Seth
Paine School have an opportunity each spring to participate in an outdoor
education
program at the Lorado Taft facility in Oregon, Illinois.
Taft's Outdoor Education Program, together with
our fifth grade teachers "teach an appreciation, understanding, and
awareness of the natural community by studying and interacting with the natural
world." For more information about the Lorado Taft campus, its education
philosophy and history visit their website
at http://www.niu.edu/taft/
This year our fifth grade will be attending Taft on Monday February 23 - 25 2009. Through this web site we will provide you with pictures and other information about our Taft trip so you can understand the program, help your children prepare, and share the Taft experience from home. Please check the website often as we will be posting updates each day.
