Introduction:
Imagine that you're a travel agent. Your job is to develop a travel brochure that will convince people to visit your state.

Task:
Each small group will create a travel brochure of one of the fifty states using Claris Works, the internet, classroom resources, and library media center resources. The brochure will contain a map of the state indicating where the capital is, the major crop of the state, places of interest within the state, famous people and sites from that state, climate, and any other interesting facts.

Process:
1.You'll be assigned to small group, and your group will be assigned a state.
2. Each person within the group will be responsible for a job
    • front page - state outline, capital location, and a key.
    • second page- places of interest within the state
    • third page- famous people and sites from the state
    •fourth page- climate and crops, and any other interesting facts
3.Have your teacher approve your information.
4.Show your completed project to the teacher.
5. Present your brochure to the class.

Hooray! You've successfully completed your job assignment. Tourism is up in your state, and your boss has given you a raise in pay!
Your brochure has been published and is on display in the state information center.
