Behavioral Interventions Committee
Description
This committee develops and monitors procedures for using behavioral interventions in accordance with Board policy 7:230, Misconduct by Students with Disabilities, and provides information and recommendations to the Board. At the Board President's discretion, the Parent-Teacher Advisory Committee shall perform the duties assigned to the Behavioral Interventions Committee.

Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee
Description
The Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (BPAC) is made up of parents and guardians of students currently or previously enrolled in either a TBE or TPI program within the district. The committee can also include bilingual and EL teachers, administrators, and community leaders.
The committee supports in in the planning, operation, and evaluation of the programs offered to multilingual students in the district. In addition, members of the BPAC committee assist in the planning of topics for our EL Family Engagement events.

Facilities Committee
Description
Facilities Committee. This committee reviews the needs and uses of District buildings and grounds and understands the impact of the improvements, how they meet the educational mission and the needs of the students and staff. The committee provides guidance on the implementation of strategic planning efforts related to the repairs, updates, design, and construction of facilities within the district, including but not limited to master planning; improvements to existing facilities; recommendations related to the budgeting associated with facilities projects; and identification of efficiencies. The committee will monitor ongoing facilities projects and communicate to the Board regarding those projects.

Financial Dashboard
Description
The creation of a district Financial Dashboard is one of the important action plans within the Forward 95 Strategic Plan (4C19C-Financial Dashboard). This focus group will guide the development process for creating a new Financial Dashboard which will be viewable from our District website. This committee has presentation from staff and community stakeholders.

Health & Wellness Committee
Description
The Health & Wellness team is comprised of teachers/support staff, nursing staff, building and district administrators, and parents. This team meets regularly (approximately every two weeks, prior to Board meetings) to review health guidance and local/internal data, as well as to make recommendations related to current health protocols and mitigation strategies in place to District administration.

Multilingual Parent Leadership Academy
Description
The Multilingual Parent Leadership Academy (MPLA) is a yearlong course offered to parents and guardians of multilingual learners within the district. This course aims to build participants’ knowledge of the district, leadership capacity, and advocacy skills. The MPLA course also includes a group action project focused on either improving the educational experience for students or strengthening partnerships with families.

Parent-Teacher Advisory Committee
Description
Parent-Teacher Advisory Committee. This committee assists in the development of student behavior policy and procedure, and provides information and recommendations to the Board. Its members are parents/guardians and teachers, and may include persons whose expertise or experience is needed. The committee reviews such issues as administering medication in the schools, reciprocal reporting between the School District and local law enforcement agencies regarding criminal offenses committed by students, student discipline, disruptive classroom behavior, school bus safety procedures, and the dissemination of student conduct information.

Student & Staff Success Committee
Description
The Student & Staff Success Team consists of teaching staff, building and district administration, and parents. This team meets regularly to discuss initiatives and issues that affect students and staff across all buildings in the district. The purpose of this team is to collaborate and discuss current initiatives, to review data, and to provide feedback on topics related to the academic and social/emotional achievement of PreK-22 students. The goal of the team is to engage stakeholders in substantive conversations designed to support staff and students as they participate in the teaching and learning process.

Teaching & Learning Committee
Description
The primary purpose of this committee is to focus on the continuous improvement of educational programs offered at Lake Zurich Community Unit District 95. This committee will engage in in-depth discussion on matters of teaching and learning including curriculum, assessment, and instructional practices, programs and initiatives, resource adoption and curriculum review. Additionally, this committee will review the efforts related to school improvement and associated data related to student achievement. Updates regarding education-related legislation will be brought to this committee for discussion and review.
