Lake Zurich's K-8 Summer Semester offers a comprehensive, engaging, and appropriately challenging curriculum that allows students to develop academic, social-emotional, and future-ready skills. Lake Zurich K-8 Summer Semester offers a variety of programming including Summer Success, Extended School Year, Enrichment, Kindergarten Kick-Off, and Summer Bridges. See course descriptions below.

- Success, Bilingual, Extended School Year (ESY): June 9 – July 17, 2025. No school June 19th; make up day June 20th. There will be no school June 30 – July 4, 2025 for the Fourth of July holiday.
- Session 1: June 9–26, 2025, no school June 19th. Makeup day June 20th.
- Session 2: July 7–24, 2025
Registration for D95 Students
The window to register students attending Summer Semester will be April 7 through May 16, 2025. Student enrollment in courses on a first-come, first-serve basis, determined by the date & time of payment.
To register for summer courses through ParentVUE:
- Login to ParentVUE. (If needed,see the Registration Page on the district website for further instructions.)

Click on Online Registration in the top right.

Select the Summer Semester Registration K-12.

You will select your student's courses based on their 25 - 26 school year grade (for example, if your student is in 1st grade in 2024-25, then you would select 2nd grade for summer school which is considered part of the 2025-26 school year)

Fill out the registration and submit for any/all students attending.

Fee payments can be made in PushCoin and are due prior to confirming a student's seat in the class.

Registration is considered complete when fees are paid in full.

If your child will be absent, please call the Summer Learning Hotline at INSERT PHONE NUMBER. Attendance can also be entered via ParentVue.

Tuition Fees
The tuition fees for K - 8 Summer Learning are detailed under each course title.
- Please pay on Push Coin or make checks payable to Lake Zurich CUSD95. Checks can be sent to the District 95 Administration Center (832 S. Rand Rd.,Lake Zurich, IL 60047), Attn: Business Office
- Student’s enrollment in a course will not be guaranteed until payment is received. You will be billed through Push Coin within a week of registering your student. Payment must be made prior to Monday, June 9, 2025.
Transportation
Bus Transportation to and from Isaac Fox/Middle School South will be provided to all K-8 District 95 students and available on a limited first-come, first-serve basis. Please indicate at the time of registration if your child will need bus transportation. Transportation is a privilege to students and is only available at the start and end to each day. Contact transportationshared@lz95.org for questions regarding Summer Semester Transportation. Transportation for ESY is included for all ESY students.
Refund Policy
The K - 8 SummerLearning Program is self-supporting. Therefore, we reserve the right to cancel any class that does not meet minimum enrollment guidelines. Families will be contacted by May 30, 2025, if their student’s course request cannot be accommodated due to limited enrollment. All fees will be refunded if a course is canceled due to insufficient enrollment. Registration will close on May 16, 2025. Once a summer session begins, there will be no refunds issued for that session.

Summer Success Math Offerings Include: Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 The following mathematics skills will be addressed in this program: addition and subtraction, place value, geometry concepts, mental math, measurements, and math Vocabulary. Grades 6, 7, 8 Summer Success math promotes opportunities for reteaching, practicing, and maintaining priority standards from their current grade level to help prepare them for the next grade level. Summer Success Reading Offerings Include: Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 The following Reading skills will be addressed in this program: phonological awareness, alphabetic principles, vocabulary development and concept awareness, writing, and listening and speaking. Program Description |
ESY services are provided to eligible students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) who show signs of regression or struggle to recoup skills after a long break. The student’s IEP team reviews relevant data to determine eligibility for ESY. If your child qualifies, you will be notified by their case manager. |

Program Description |
Students entering or currently enrolled in our Spanish bilingual classes at Seth Paine have the opportunity to participate in our Bilingual Summer Semester. This program will include instruction in both reading and math in the language of instruction students would typically experience during the school year. The learning experience will mirror that of our monolingual Kindergarten Kickoff or Summer Success/Bridges Math and Summer Success/Bridges Reading by preparing students with the skills and knowledge they need to support them in the next grade level, all while also developing their knowledge of the Spanish language. |

Program Description |
This is a non-credit based enrichment course designed to build a student’s mathematical foundation; the curriculum reviews essential pre-algebra skills and introduces key Algebra 1 CP skills. Program Description |
Students will engage in a project-based curriculum in which they use the Engineering Design Process to define, research, hypothesize, build, test, redesign, and defend their ideas and prototypes. Hands-on learning activities allow students to develop critical thinking skills, collaborate, problem-solve, and engage with coding programs like Scratch Jr. Students will be learning to code using Scratch Jr. and Kodable, which are coding programs for kids. The course will also offer hands-on team-type stem projects like building and assembling structures with given materials. |
