Reports to the Board

  • Long Range Facility Plan and Potential Remaining Referendum Monies – Dr. Romano, Assistant Superintendent for Business and Operations, solicited feedback relating to the Board’s referendum promise and interests related to future capital improvements.
  • Student Services Update – Dr. McArdle, Assistant Superintendent for Student Services, reported on the social-emotional supports available to students during the 21-22 school year, including several new supports (i.e., LZHS Calming Room, middle school therapy dog access) as well as a summary of supports that will remain in place or be added during the 22-23 school year. 
  • 2021-2022 Operating Fund Close – Dr. Romano reported on the annual financial data for the 2021-2022 Operating Funds Close which represents the unaudited close data for the prior fiscal year.

Discussion With Action

  • May Whitney Solar Project – Dr. Romano recommended that the Board of Education award a guaranteed energy savings contract to Performance Services, Inc., for installation of solar and electric charging stations at May Whitney Elementary School for a combined installation cost of $1,523,168 as presented and authorize the Assistant Superintendent for Business and Operations to execute all documents relating to the projects. Motion approved.
  • Approval of 2022-2023 LZHS “Type A” Lunch Price Adjustment - Dr. Romano recommended to approve the Lake Zurich High School Type “A” lunch price to be set at $3.75 for the 2022-2023 school year. Motion approved.
